Around Baseball: Trout and Kershaw win MVP Awards

The Baseball Writers Association of America announced Thursday evening that Los Angeles Angeles center fielder Mike Trout unanimously won the 2014 American League MVP Award after finishing runner-up to the Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers the past two seasons. Also, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw was named the National League MVP, becoming the first pitcher to win the award since 1968.
