The battle for the fifth spot in the Cardinals rotation when the team heads north may be down to two, as manager Mike Matheny announced Saturday that lefty Jaime Garcia has experienced shoulder discomfort and will not make his scheduled start Sunday. Marco Gonzales, who is fighting for the spot along with Carlos Martinez, will now start in Garcia’s place.
