UPDATED: Around Baseball: Mariners, Nelson Cruz agree to 4-year, $57M contract

According to multiple reports early Monday, the Seattle Mariners and outfielder/designated hitter Nelson Cruz have agreed to terms on a multi-year contract worth a reported $57 million over four years. The terms have not been officially announced, as reports indicate the deal is still pending a physical.

The 34-year-old Cruz hit .271 with 108 RBIs and a major league leading 40 home runs for the Baltimore Orioles in 2014 and has tallied at least 22 home runs in each of the last six seasons. Cruz served a 50-game suspension for PED use as part of the Biogenesis Scandal while playing for the Rangers back in 2013 and played on a one-year, $8 million deal with this past season.
