Game Blog: With division clinched, Cards kick off final regular season series in Atlanta

Fresh off clinching their third consecutive NL Central Division title, the Cardinals head into Atlanta to face the Braves in the final series of the regular season.

With the redbirds’ spot in the League Division Series (which begins next Friday) already secured, the team will have the opportunity to rest many of its starters throughout the weekend.

Matt Carpenter, Kolten Wong, Matt Holliday, Jhonny Peralta, and Jason Heyward are among the redbirds getting a rest in game one of the series.
